The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – MAECI (DGSP – directorate general, country system and autonomous territorial entities) and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism – MiBACT (DGCC – directorate general of contemporary creativity) are launching a public project to support and promote Italian contemporary art. The works that are produced will be the focus of a show to be spread worldwide thanks to the diplomatic and consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes abroad.

Saturday, 5 December will see the return of the Contemporary Art Day, the large-scale event promoted by AMACI, organized with the support of DGCC - MiBACT and in collaboration with MAECI, that for sixteen years has involved museums, foundations, public and private institutions, galleries, studios, and artist spaces, to recount the vitality of contemporary art in our country.

The MU.FO.CO – supported by this Directorate-General and in collaboration with the Triennale di Milano – has identified 5 new photographers to implement the Atlante Architettura Contemporanea (Atlas of Contemporary Architecture) with a corpus of another 120 photographic campaigns documenting 120 works of contemporary architecture.

The data platform from the Archivi della video arte e dei film d’artista in Italia (Archives of Video Art and Art Films in Italy) project is now online. The project monitors collections of video and film works and documents (from 1965 to the present) conserved across Italy by public and private institutions to ensure their communication, conservation, valorisation, promotion, preservation, access and cataloguing.
