The brief of the 14th edition of the Premio New York, offering two young artists the chance to live in New York City for six months, is on line now.
Promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Cultural Institute of New York and the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America, this year’s edition is witness for the first time to the participation of the DGAAP / Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.

In addition to airfare, the two winners will also receive a monthly stipend of $4,000.00 (for food and lodging), as well as the possibility to use a space at the International Studio & Curatorial Program in Brooklyn.

During their time in New York, the two artists will be offered the chance to participate in a series of events organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York York and the Italian Academy and to attend classes in art history, film theory, the visual arts and architecture at Colombia University.

PROCEDURES AND INFORMATION

The program is restricted to Italian artists at least 30 years of age (with a good knowledge of the English language) active in the visual arts and with at least one personal exhibition to their name.

The deadline for the submission of applications to the Premio New York is the 5 September 2016.
